unitedskateboardartists feat. GLW/DRK Wet T-Shirt Contest unitedskateboardartists and GLW/DRK have a crush on each other and will print a limited edition t-shirt. Therefore we are looking for new designs. So join our design competition. It's worth it. The creator of the best design will win a t-shirt with his design (of course), one unitedskateboardartists t-shirt and one sweater, a five issue subscription to GLW/DRK, and various other goodies we can dig up. The second place will win one unitedskateboardartists t-shirt and one Savage Nation t-shirt. The third place will win one unitedskateboardartists t-shirt. The competition is open to everyone over 18 years of age. All general information will be provided through our websites only. Your design has to read "unitedskateboardartists" and "GLW/DRK" somewhere. Your design may not be signed. All designs must be printable high res images with at least 300 dpi and a maximum of two colors. The submitter agrees with the following: All copyrights and related rights to the winning works shall be exclusively assigned to unitedskateboardartists and GLW/DRK for two years after the announcement of the winners. The period of time, however, can be extended under the agreement between unitedskateboardartists, GLW/DRK, and the winner. Copyrights include all rights relating to production, distribution, and publicity, such as reproduction, modification, advertisement/publich relations, etc. for all media and in all territories. All rights of entries that did not win belong to entrants. The submitter warrants to the best of his knowledge and belief that work does not infringe the Intellectual Property Rights of any third party and is not substantially similar to the style or concept of any third party designs. (Our lawyers made us write this.) A committee chooses the winning designs in private screenings (probably smoking fat cigars and sipping champagne). There are no legal claims to participate in the competition. The decision of the committee is final, there is no recourse to the courts. Why? Because we rule the world. All the submitted designs will be posted online on our websites www.unitedskateboardartists.com and www.glwdrk.com . We may post your name next to your design, too. Please e-mail your designs to artsucks@glwdrk.com until March 16th, 2007 at the latest. No entry submitted will be returned. Personal information submitted will be solely used for purpose of the competition and be kept confidential in our secret file cabinets or somewhere else. All winners will receive a written reply until April 1st, 2007 via e-mail. (Nah, that's not a joke!) We kindly ask not to inquire in written form or by phone. T-SHIRT ABO Neben der Aktuellen Kollektion werden wir für ein halbes Jahr (6 Monate) einmal im Monat ein streng limitiertes Shirt rausbringen, das die Abonenten jeden Monat im Briefkasten vorfinden werden. Jeden Monat ein frisches Shirt zum skaten oder zum Sammeln!! BRIGHT 2006 Sodala, da wars also so weit, unsere erste Messe. Klamotten und allerhand
brauchbares Werkzeug in den Van gepackt (Danke an King Ryan fürs
Van borgen an dieser Stelle), die Crew eingepackt (Zinga, Chriser, Marc,
Martin, Phil, Kryshi) und ab dafür. Wir wussten nicht wirklich was
uns erwartet und ob wir für einen „professionellen“ Auftritt
gerüsstet waren, aber sollte ja auf einer Skateboard Messe auch keine
Rolle spielen, wa? Hier ein paar schöner Aspekte:

TENERIFFA TOUR 2005 Phil lernte während seiner Zeit in Madrid einen Skateboarder namens Jose kennen. Die Freundschaft die die beidem seitdem verbindet, hält bis heute und so kam es, dass die unitedskateboardartists eingeladen wurden eine gute Zeit in der Heimat des gebürtigen Canaren Jose zu verbringen. Im Februar 2004 stiegen wir in ein Flugzeug ein und landeten kurz darauf im Paradies. Teneriffa ist eine wunderschöne Insel und wir können Euch nur empfehlen da mal hin zu reisen. Es gibt sehr gute Spots, nette Einheimische, eine florierende Szene und ein für Skateboarding ideales Klima zu entdecken. Wir danken Jose für seine Gastfreundschaft und allen Mitwirkenden für den guten vibe. |

Bachbett Sessions. Von zeit zu Zeit blühen aus dem Münchner Untergrund bunte Blüten
der unabhängigen Subkultur. Eine davon ist das legendäre Bachbett,
ein Ort voll Kreativität, Musik und Partys, ins Leben gerufen und
organisiert von Mister X, Mister Y und Miss Z. Da das ganze eine echte
urbane guerilla aktion war, sollen hier Namen keine Rolle spielen. Da X,Y und Z selber begeisterte Skateboarder waren und sind, lag es nahe, dem Bachbett eine letzte Ehre zu erweisen, die Theke mit einer Quarter, inklusive Bank und einem abgefahrenen Wallride zu verschönern und die letzten Tage mit gediegen Sessions zu verbringen. Da es sich um Katakomben handelte vergaß man schnell Raum und Zeit...einfach nur ein paar Freunde und unvergessliche Sessions. Vielen Dank an alle Beteiligten!
